Back from Tulsa

What a wild trip. It was pretty cool in Tulsa. Except for the heat. About 109 degrees outside last time my friends and I looked. Trust me – geeks don’t go outside. White skin doesn’t go well with the sun. That’s why conventions are usually held in hotel’s with sky-walks to get between buildings.

Any who I didn’t make it to many panels. I mainly sat with my friend Jeff of DreamGear Studios and told people about the comic. I did attend the Artist Alley 101 panel and we all had a pretty cool time in there and learned some pretty nifty Ideas. Thanks again to Marie who headed that one. Make sure to check her stuff out from RosaleenDhu Designs. One of her good friends (and mine) is Beth. Beth does not have a site yet, but when she gets one I’ll throw it up on the Links page. Also met another friendly person by the name of Eden. She gave me a discount on one of her items so check her stuff out on Deviantart. Also sitting beside her was Brent. Check his Deviantart as well. Also met one very cool writer by the name of David Doub. Hes got a comic by the name of Dusk, about vampires…check it out here.

Also want to give a big heads up to two awesome dudes – Bob and Eric. They got a great comic called Boodachitaville and I have to say, I’m impressed. They also helped find a cool place to fill my stomach and then some. My stomach will never look at me the same way again. So they were totally cool. Check out there comic – it’s a must.

So to help my comic, I thought I’d inspire some people by asking them to dance with me at the convention. Turned out into three things: The good, the bad, and the ugly.

The good :  Makes  an enjoyable video, I had fun, they had fun, and I’ll post the video in the next few days for everyone to see and get a good laugh.

The ugly: (I know wrong order) – during the first dance, with a furry, I made my final pose and dislocated my leg. I hit the ground and it popped back in. Ten minutes later I was dancing again!

The bad: My camera man (bless his heart) was laughing so hard at that moment he accidentally stopped recording and we missed that great moment of me in pain. Oh well. I do have a shot of me holding the camera since the cameraman still laughing as I limp away. I’ll have it in a day or two. Check it out.

Overall, I had an excellent time. Thank you Tokyo in Tulsa 2009, I hope to see you in the future. Or past if I get that time machine.

Off to Tokyo in Tulsa!

So yeah today I leave to goto to Tokyo in Tulsa. I’m pretty excited to go really. Driving up with my friend and then I’m going to chill with Jeff from DreamGear Studios. So if any of you are going, I hope to see you there!

On another note I feel real stupid. I really have to thank my excellent roommate for saving me cause yes, I did misspell retarded on my last comic. It’s bad enough that I misspelled a word, but that one in general…wow. So yeah, a big thanks to my roommate for covering my back on that one. God I feel stupid.

So back to Tulsa, I’ll be mainly around the artist dealer room and I’ll be the guy with the tiger striped black and blond hair – so feel free to say hi, I don’t bite. Not hard at least. ;)

So since I’m going to Tulsa and I just went to Otaku Omaha, I’m going to have to hold off on today’s comic (I’m sorry) but I’ll see if I can make it up to you all somehow. So till we all meet again!
